It’s always a pleasure to create wedding invitations for great friends, and the wedding invitation design for Mackenzie was truly one of those pleasures!
Mackenzie (who is the same one from Mackenzie Photography) and myself (Jacqui) have been friends since our days working for Spotlight Retail Group. We started our businesses around the same time and have shared our studio office space here in Richmond for the last 6 years and counting. We’ve seen each other through many ups and downs in business and in personal situations so it’s fair to say that I knew my subject well. I did also happen to be there the moment Iain and Mackenzie first met at the docks down in Hobart on New Years Eve!
Wedding crest design using Australian Flora and Fauna
Wedding invitations are such a personal statement and have the power to sum up a couple and their wedding day in one glance. Being a country and family girl, Mackenzie was married at her Mum’s Coldstream property in the popular Yarra Valley wine region in Victoria. The back drop was stunning with rolling pastures, hay barrels, clear open skies and the best that nature has to to offer.
Name place cards for Mackenzie and Iain’s country wedding
The bridal bouquet was to be made up of flora found at the property which consisted of wattle, banksia and snow gum which would then follow though to the table arrangements and further decoration. The country wedding invitation design reflects this ‘Australiana’ theme and set the tone for their special day.
Rustic thank you card design
We didn’t stop at the wedding invitations either! Name place cards, seating chart, thank you cards and of course matching envelopes and stationery too. The whole wedding was perfectly branded to suit their Australian backyard wedding.
