When Mackenzie went out on her own as a freelance photographer, she asked us to come up with a brand that was an artistic representation of her business; something simple and distinctive, but one that wouldn’t pigeon hole her into a particular category of photography. Mackenzie works mainly as a commercial photographer, but she’s also does fantastic portraits and landscape work, not to mention divine wedding photos.
That’s why we decided to just use the name of her business as the logo – no illustration, no clichéd image – just her name in bright, bold and beautiful lettering. We explored a lot of colour options before we decided on this vibrant pink, and we love the way the angle of the letter ‘z’ lends itself to repetition in all her other material.
We have carried this pink and black striking look throughout her website, marketing flyers, business cards and other material that she uses every day in her business. Her brand certainly stands out as a unique competitor in her field.
